Decision automation

NEMESynth-EMSO keeps the frequency plan, the comm plan and the PACE plan in one record, fills the gaps in that record with synthetic values it can explain, and works the plan for you, with every change shown, explained and undoable.

Three steps from decision support through decision augmentation to decision automation, with synthesized defaults for missing or ambiguous data under augmentation and automation Decision support You decide. It shows you the record, the engineering and the options. "Which nets close from this site?" Decision augmentation It fills in what's missing or ambiguous with synthetic values, marked and explained. You confirm or change them. "No antenna height on record: use the mast height for this equipment" Decision automation Decision sheets decide and act on the clock, inside the limits you set. Anything irreversible waits for you. "Primary jammed at D+2: the medical net moves to its alternate" Synthesized defaults for missing or ambiguous data Worked out from physics, the standards and the domain's rules.
The same record and the same rules at every step. What changes is how much of the decision the software makes, and you set that.

Synthetic data

Spectrum records are rarely complete. An assignment has no antenna height, a net has no alternate, a sensor hears a signal nobody is assigned to. NEMESynth-EMSO fills those gaps with synthetic values worked out from what is known: the physics, the standard the data follows, and the rules of the domain. Each one is marked as synthetic, shows what it was worked out from, and is withdrawn if that changes.

A decision sheet can't act on a blank field, so automation depends on these values.

What you can do with it

Keep one spectrum record

Bring in your SFAF and keep assignments, nets, equipment and sites together, with where each value came from and how it is marked. We imported 124k master reference records in six minutes.

Do the engineering on the spot

ITM propagation, link budgets, coverage plots, intermod, look angles, and UTM and MGRS conversion, all run on your own machine.

Assign frequencies by priority

An optimizer fills the highest-priority requirements first, keeps conflicting assignments apart, and holds back alternates so a PACE switch doesn't cause a new conflict.

Build PACE plans that hold up

Every net gets a primary, alternate, contingency and emergency, checked to close across the whole operation. The rules for when to switch are written down where you can read and change them.

See where the plan stands

Lay out what the operation has to accomplish, see which steps get each goal done, and approve the plan before anything runs.

Get help without giving up control

A built-in assistant, running on the machine, can draft and carry out steps. You decide whether it asks first or acts while you watch, and anything that can't be undone always waits for you.

It doesn't need the network

Maps, rules, the record and the assistant all live on the laptop, iPad or browser you're using. Lose the link and you can keep planning. When you reconnect, the sets you missed bring you back in sync.

NEMESynth-EMSO is the successor to NEMESYS, and its rules run on decision sheets and GRIPS.

See it on your problem

We'll walk you through the Halcyon exercise from start to finish, or load a sample of your own SFAF and show you what comes out.
